Community digital Support and Training


One of the best ways to improve your Digital Skills is to go to courses being run in your local area. Not only will you learn new skills, you will also meet new people and hopefully enjoy the experience. You could always complete the Learn My Way online course to build confidence before joining a course.

Drop In sessions

Weekly drop-in sessions are now available for residents to access at the following venues – there is no need to book, just turn up.

  • Mondays, 10.00am-3.00pm, Sutton in Ashfield Jobcentre
  • Mondays, 10.00am–3.00pm, Ashfield District Council’s Digital Zone, Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield
  • Fridays, 3.00pm-4.00pm, ATTFE Community Hub, Idlewells Shopping Centre

Drop In sessions

Monthly drop-ins run by Access4all at Fritchley Court

These sessions are open to any Framework service user. They generally run on the first Thursday of each month . Check the calendar for dates – https://access4all.uk/index.php/calender/

West Notts College

West Notts College run some Drop-In sessions at the Four Seasons Shopping Ccente NG18 1SU

These drop in sessions are the perfect opportunity for you to ask your burning questions around all things IT or join a class for those with no IT skills. As part of a class, you will learn basic to advanced skills with a focus on Microsoft Office in very small groups alongside a supportive tutor.

Interested? These drop in sessions are FREE or £7 per hour for everyone aged 19+ and run throughout the year. Contact us on 01623 413602 to book a session.

      Drop In sessions

      Drop-in and booked help sessions with our Library IT Volunteers are available at Hyson Green and Dales Centre Libraries  Drop-ins are sometimes busy so you may have to wait a little while.  If you think you will need more than 10 minutes help or you are fairly new to computers, please make an appointment in advance with the library.

      Hyson Green Library: Tuesdays and alternative Saturdays – 10.30am to 12.30pm

      Dales Centre Library: Mondays – 3pm to 5pm
